This Summer we want to start a community led culture in the three ares of meaningful prayer (meditation), exercise & physicality (movement), and encouraging words (messages).

Find out more about each area of focus below:

Our Weekly Rhythms

These meetups happen at family friendly locations such as schools or parks where children can play while parents spend an hour praying, exercising, and encouraging one another.

Steady Commitment

Handmade Underline Doodle

We meet by region and availability a minimum of once a week for 1 hour 15 minutes, and then all of our regions meet together once a month (three times this Summer) at a central location with the same outline as our weekly meetups.

Every meetup will have a leader or two who take the lead on the workout plan and devotional plan.

Work Harder

Train Harder

Handmade Underline Doodle

We want to be a people who train harder, not just work harder. Although there will be days you push yourself and have to “work hard” the mentality here is one of training for growth & longevity in the areas of prayer, movement, and hearing God’s word:

  • Meditate on God’s Word (10-15 Mins)
  • Movement & Workout (30-45 mins)
  • Message of Encouragement (10-15 mins)

Training

for life

Handmade Underline Doodle

Most people vacillate between commitments to pray, workout, and invest in encouraging relationships, but what would happen if we didn’t feel like we had to drop the ball on one of these to invest in the others, and instead we invested in all of them at the same time?

We think we would be investing in training for life abundantly.

Meditate on God’s word

Prayer Icon
Prayer Icon

Each week we will take 10-15 minutes to quiet our mind and strenghten our spine for the day ahead. We will have provided passages and some simple guided ways to slow down and prayerfully meditate on God’s word before you do anything else.

Far from meditation that empties your mind, this time will help fill you with devotion to God and His Word.

Movement & Exercise

Each week we will dedicate ourselves to movement and exercise for 30-45 mins together in guided exercise circuits. Studies show that physical activity helps us think and process better, consistent mood regulation, and more, which is why stewarding our bodies is a part of our

discipleship to Jesus.

Without regular walking, exercise, and other physical activities, we will lack the motivation to show up for our more “mental” forms of devotion.

Encouraging Words

religious cross icon

Each week we will take 10-15 minutes to hear a devotional word of encouragement at the end of our time together. This will be a time of receiving from a brother or sister who wants the best for you.

This will help us to close our time in a God honoring way, and hopefully fuel us with conviction and motivation to move into the day/week ahead of us.

FAQ

What is the commitment?

1 Day a week, for about an hour each meetup. That’s it!

What do I need to bring?

Bible, water, workout clothes, and yourself. Most of the workouts will utilize our environment and bodyweight, but some will included a dumbbell/ketttlebell as well. Bring your own weight if you can, or borrow one from a leader if you do not have one.

where do these happen?

Schools and parks that have a family friendly environment to them. We want to remove barriers for childcare if possible, so we try to have locations where kids can play while we commit to this hour (and it is good for our children to see us doing something important like this).

Is this just for young people or those who are in great shape?

To be clear, the workouts are outdoors and have a mix of weight, body, and cardio focused training. At the same time any of the workouts can be modified to meet your fitness level, and we will try to accommodate for anyone we can to meet you where you are at. Reach out directly if you have a specific concern about being able to commit because of a physical barrier.

Can I bring a friend who isn’t a Christian?

Of course! We have seen many community led connections like this lead to next steps of faith for a person. Don’t hesitate to invite a friend, we just recommend you give them an idea of what to expect ahead of time.

Can we have more than

an hour?

Of course! We try to host these at family friendly environments where kids can play during our time, and then you can have ongoing discussions, playdates, coffee, or more working out after if you would like. We are just asking for a 1 hour+ commitment, anything more than that is strongly encouraged, but it is just on you.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

This always comes up with outdoor events (especially if some people may be walking to them), but we would ask that you not bring any pets to these meetups because it will be too hard to control them while also spending our hour together.

we can’t wait to

see you
